Last week, I went on a day trip to Oxford. To be honest, all I could think about was Gatsby claiming he was an “Oxford man” and where I would eat lunch. However, the tour of the university showcased the historical and architectural beauty of both the town and the institution, despite the rain and a brief hail storm.


For lunch, we headed to The King’s Arms, initially intrigued by the blush pink exterior, but drawn in by the menu. I highly suggest the fish and chips, and the tea is immaculate.

Later, we explored the town, taking in it’s beauty once the sun popped out from behind the clouds. I’m still wondering why I never applied to Oxford…
